A landslide has hit a construction workers campsite in northeastern India, killing 16 people.
A police official said three laborers survived and received only minor injuries.
The early morning slide Friday in the Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh struck when the workers were asleep.
Officials say the landslide was triggered by recent heavy rains.
A disaster response force has been deployed to the scene.
Landslides are common in the area of India, but usually occur during the monsoon season, which begins in June.
