Mexico's census, taken last June, shows the country's population has grown to more than 112.3 million people.
Mexico's National Institute for Statistics and Geography Thursday released the figures, which counted slightly more than 57.4 million women and about 55 million men. The last census, back in 2000, counted 97.4 million residents in Mexico.
The latest census figures put Mexico at 11th in the world for size of population.
