Lady Gaga is celebrating this week’s release of her new album “Artpop” with special events in New York City. On November 10, she’ll perform a concert that will stream live on the music video website Vevo. The following day, more than 150 Clear Channel radio stations will air the pop star’s half-hour special, “Album Release Party with Lady Gaga.” That show will be hosted by Ryan Secrest and recorded for broadcast on the CW Channel on November 19.

On November 11, singers Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga will be honored with Glamour Women of the Year awards for empowering and inspiring women throughout the world. Streisand is receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other 2013 Women of the Year recipients include actress Kerry Washington, models Christy Turlington and Liya Kebede, Bill Gates’ wife Melinda Gates and 16-year-old Pakastani education activist Malala Yousafzai. The ceremony will be held at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Eminem, One Direction Score Big on Billboard Charts

Rapper Eminem has four titles in this week’s Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. He debuts at Number 3 with “The Monster,” a track that features superstar Rihanna. The three others include “Berzerk” (Number 15), “Survival” (Number 16) and “Rap God” (Number 17). “The Monster” also gave Eminem his first Number One on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. His new album, Marshall Mathers LP 2, is expected to debut at Number One on next week’s Billboard 200 with first-week sales estimated at more than 700,000 copies.

Pop boy band One Direction also makes a Top 10 entry on the Hot 100 chart this week. The pop boy band debuts at Number 6 with “Story of My Life,” the second single from its latest album, Midnight Memories. The album’s lead single, “Best Song Ever,” peaked at Number 2 and sold one million copies in the U.S.

Six new albums enter this week’s Billboard 200 chart inside the Top 10. Linkin Park’s “Recharged” opens at Number 10; Toby Keith’s “Drinks After Work” debuts at Number 7; Country newcomer Thomas Rhett comes in at Number 6 with “It Goes Like This;” Duck Dynasty reality stars The Robertsons land on the list at Number 4 with the holiday collection “Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas;” Kelly Clarkson’s first holiday set, “Wrapped In Red,” enters at Number 3; and Arcade Fire’s “Reflektor” debuts at Number One.

Star Birthdays

November 10 - Singer-songwriter Dave Loggins turned 66. A cousin of pop singer Kenny Loggins, Dave is best known for his 1974 Top 5 hit, “Please Come To Boston.” He has also written hits for such artists as Wynonna Judd, Don Williams, Three Dog Night, Reba McEntire and Alabama. In 1995, Loggins was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Country star Miranda Lambert celebrated her 30th birthday. The Texas native got her start as a contestant on the Country music reality show “Nashville Star.” Her Number One hits include “The House That Built Me,” “Heart Like Mine” and “Over You.” Lambert is currently climbing the Country chart with “All Kinds of Kinds,” the fifth single from her latest album, “Four the Record.” At the recent CMA Awards, Lambert took home her fourth consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year trophy.

November 12 - Singer-songwriter Neil Young will turn 68. During his teenage years, Young began performing in folk clubs in his native Canada. In 1966, he formed Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, who later performed with him in the legendary pop group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Young scored a Number One solo hit in 1972 with “Heart of Gold.” In 2012, he released his latest studio album with his band Crazy Horse. “Psychedelic Pill” made a Top 10 entry on the Billboard 200 chart.

November 14 - Pop singer Stephen Bishop will turn 62. Bishop made his chart debut in 1976 with “Save It For A Rainy Day,” which featured Eric Clapton on guitar and Chaka Khan on background vocals. His other hits include “On and On,” “Everybody Needs Love” and “It Might Be You.”

November 15 - Texas-based singer-songwriter Jack Ingram celebrates his 43rd birthday. In 2005, he came to national attention with the album “Live: Wherever You Are.” Its title track became Ingram’s first Number One Country hit. In 2008, he won the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist Award. The following year, he released “Big Dreams & High Hopes,” his final album for Big Machine Records.

Chad Kroeger of the rock band Nickelback turns 39. In 2001, Nickelback earned its big break with the Number One single “How You Remind Me.” Since then, the group has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. Nickelback’s first anthology, “The Best of Nickelback, Volume 1” will be released on November 19. This past July, Kroeger married Canadian singer Avril Lavigne.

Katy Perry leads the nominees in the music categories for the 2014 People’s Choice Awards, set to take place January 8, 2014 in Los Angeles. The pop singer received five nominations, including Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song and Favorite Video for “Roar,” and Favorite Music Fan Following. Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake follow close behind with four nods apiece. The 40th annual People’s Choice Awards will also recognize the most popular stars in film and television. Look Who's Going On Tour!

On November 14, the 10th Annual Billboard Touring Awards will be presented in New York. Finalists include the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Taylor Swift, Pink, Kenny Chesney and Jay-Z/Justin Timberlake. “By basing the majority of these awards on Boxscore data, as opposed to some sort of popular vote, the Billboard Touring Awards, has, over the past decade, been the true mark of achievement in the live music space,” Billboard’s Ray Waddell says. Categories include Top Tour, Top Package, Breakthrough Tour, Top Festival, Top Draw, Top Boxscore, and one fan-voted category, the Eventful Fans’ Choice Award. Country legend George Strait will receive the Legend of Live Award for his contributions to live music.

Country singer Trace Adkins begins an 18-date Christmas tour on November 15 in Effingham, Illinois. Shows will feature fireside storytelling of personal and historical anecdotes and performances of classic carols with a 12-piece ensemble. Adkins will be supporting his new Celtic holiday album, “The King’s Gift.” The Chieftains, Scottish singer Alyth McCormack, British folk/pop star Emma Stevens, The Isaacs, Kevin Costner and his daughter Lily Costner guest on the collection.
