Obamas, Bushes to Meet in Tanzania

The White House says former President George W. Bush will meet with President Barack Obama while both men are in Tanzania this week.

The former president will join Mr. Obama on Tuesday in Dar es Salaam for a wreath-laying ceremony to honor those killed in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombing.

Mr. Obama arrived in Tanzania Monday on the final leg of his three-country trip through Africa, while his predecessor, Mr. Bush, is in the country for a conference on African women organized by the George W. Bush Institute.

U.S. first lady Michelle Obama and former first lady Laura Bush will also meet at the conference at a forum focusing on women's education, health and economic empowerment.
