Blast Kills Senior Aide to Pakistan's President

A senior security aide to Pakistan's president has been killed in a suicide bombing in Karachi.

Bilal Sheikh, President Asif Ali Zardari's top security official in Karachi, was killed along with at least two others when his vehicle was targeted by a suicide bomber.

About a dozen people were also injured in the attack. Sheikh survived an assassination attempt last year.

The attack took place near an office of Zardari's Pakistan People's Party, which is headquarted in Karachi and rules southern Sindh Province.

Zardari, who has a residence in the city, was not near the site of the attack.
