At Least 8 Killed in Iraq Suicide Blast

A suicide bomber in Iraq has blown up a tanker truck in the city of Tikrit, killing at least eight people.

Reports say Monday's blast took place at a police station and most of the victims are believed to be police officers. At least 17 people were wounded.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The bombing is the latest incident in a spike of unrest leading up to April 20th provincial elections. Elections in the provinces of Anbar and Ninevah have been postponed by several months because of security threats.
