Authorities in Somalia say a suicide car bomber has struck a convoy of cars in Mogadishu carrying a delegation from Qatar, killing eight Somalis.
Police say the Qataris were not hurt and proceeded on to their hotel.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for Sunday's attack, but al-Shabab militants have a history of violence in the region.
Al-Shabab controlled most of Mogadishu until the military pushed the militants out of the capital two years ago.
