British police on Wednesday located the man suspected of killing BBC radio commentator John Hunt's wife and two daughters with a crossbow near Enfield in north London.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, was found with injuries and is receiving medical treatment, police said, adding they do not know how he was injured but that they fired no shots.

The victims were identified by the BBC as Carol Hunt, 61, John Hunt's wife, and their daughters, ages 25 and 28. Local authorities responded to a call at a residence in Bushey, where the women were found dead Tuesday evening.

Earlier Wednesday, Hertfordshire Police identified Clifford as the suspect, although police did not confirm whether he had a connection to the victims. British media indicated he was a former boyfriend of one of the daughters.

Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson described the incident at a home in Bushey, northwest of London, as horrific, noting that a crossbow was likely used, alongside potentially other weapons.

Simpson previously stated that armed officers and search teams were actively pursuing Clifford. He urged Clifford to surrender to police and cautioned the public against approaching him.

During the manhunt, the public was urged not to approach Clifford. Enfield is about 27 kilometers east of the crime scene.

"Following extensive inquiries, the suspect has been located, and nobody else is being sought in connection with the investigation at this time," said Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

"This continues to be an incredibly difficult time for the victims' family, and we would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with what has happened," she added.
