Canadian police have arrested the man suspected of shooting and killing three police officers in the eastern province of New Brunswick.
A Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesman said authorities arrested Justin Bourque early Friday in Moncton, the city where the shootings occurred.
Authorities had launched a massive manhunt for the gunman, who also wounded two others on Wednesday. The incident prompted police to warn frightened residents to stay in their homes.
Investigators say the suspect opened fire after police responded to a call about an armed man wearing camouflage clothes. They say the motive for the shootings is not clear.
