House Committee Holds Hearing on Policing Strategies

The U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee held a hearing on policing strategies for the 21st century just one day after President Barack Obama issued an executive order to keep certain military-style equipment out of the hands of local police departments. The discussion Tuesday, however, was about what influence – if any – the federal government should exert over local police. Arash Arabasadi reports from Washington.
