Kerry in Central Asia to Boost Cooperation With 5 Nations

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Sunday with officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the Uzbek city of Samarkand to promote U.S. economic and security cooperation with the former Soviet republics. The meeting was aimed at boosting the U.S. presence in the region, which also is a recruiting ground for terrorist groups. VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports.
