George Washington: The Reluctant President

Many men and women have a thirst for power, but that was not the case with George Washington, America's first president. The famous general, who led the American colonists to freedom from British rule, had no interest in being president. He said he wanted to retire from public service and return home to his Virginia farm, but eventually accepted the job as his duty.
