Astronomers used an instrument that combines the signals of the four telescopes of the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope to create one “super telescope”. They used the device to study the atmosphere of an exoplanet 129 light-years from Earth. The astronomers observed that the exoplanet’s atmosphere is filled with clouds of iron and silicates that churn in global storm.
