With its red and yellow rock formations, the Ramon Crater in Israel’s Negev desert has been compared to the surface of Mars. Six astronauts from around the world recently spent a month deep in the desert to simulate a mission to Mars. The goal was to learn more in the quest to make human travel to Mars a reality. For VOA, Linda Gradstein visited the mission in the crater and has this report.
