Afghan Blast Strikes Military Convoy

Afghan officials say a suicide car bomber has struck a foreign military convoy in the capital, Kabul.

There is no immediate confirmation about casualties from Friday's blast, but a police spokesman told the Associated Press that six civilians were wounded.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the explosion, which comes as President Hamid Karzai is considering a proposed agreement allowing U.S. forces to stay in the country beyond 2014.

Many Afghans concerned about security after 2014 have urged the president to sign the pact, but he has maintained that he will leave it to the next Afghan president.
