Livestock producers often guard against disease and speed the growth of healthy animals by feeding them frequent, low doses of antibiotics. Fears are growing that this common practice creates superbugs that medications can't stop. That's why some U-S consumers are pushing to eliminate the regular use of antibiotics in healthy animals.
