Apparent Killing in IS Video Called Un-Islamic, Barbarous

The Jordanian government executed two militants Wednesday, responding to an Islamic State video showing the apparent gruesome killing of a Jordanian pilot who was captured after his plane went down during a mission targeting IS fighters in Syria. The pilot, Muath al-Kaseasbeh, had recently been used as a bargaining chip in a failed effort to trade for al-Qaida operatives held in Jordanian prisons.
