Body of Georgia Soldier Found in Afghanistan

NATO says the body of a Georgian soldier who was reported missing earlier this month has been found by Afghan police.

The international coalition says Afghan police found the body Saturday in southern Afghanistan's restive Helmand province and turned over the soldier's remains to NATO.

Officials say 19 Georgian soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the country joined the international military operation in Afghanistan in 2009.

Georgia currently has 1,500 troops in the alliance.
