A security official in Yemen says a bomb blast in the capital, Sanaa, has killed at least two soldiers.

The official said the bombing targeted a car. At least two other soldiers were wounded in the attack.

There has been no word on who was responsible. The Yemeni government has been struggling recently against an Islamist insurgency and a wave of attacks on security personnel by local al-Qaida militants.

The U.S. considers the Yemeni al-Qaida branch, known as al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, the most dangerous branch of the terrorist network.
