Covid-19 Disrupts Immunization For Millions of Vulnerable Children Worldwide

The United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports an alarming trend as Covid-19 is likely to further rates of immunizations. On this World Immunization Week, UNICEF reports over 13 million children worldwide did not receive any vaccines at all in 2018, namely in countries with weakened health systems. The DRC showcases the consequences of not immunizing as it currently battles the world's largest measles outbreak as well as cholera, Ebola, rubella and now the novel coronavirus.
