Kate, formerly a tropical storm, has strengthened into the fourth hurricane of the 2015 Atlantic season, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday.
Kate, now a category 1 hurricane, was located about 260 miles (420 km) north of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds of 75 miles per hour (120 kph), the Miami-based weather forecaster added.
