Diplomats Urge Libya Factions to Unite for Peace

Top diplomats from the U.S., Europe and the Middle East met with leaders of Libya's rival factions on Sunday in Rome, urging them to adopt a U.N.-mediated national unity plan and restore peace in the troubled country. International representatives signed a communique expressing support for the plan and warned Libyans that a failure to act would enable extremists to gain ground in their country.
