L.A.'s Legalization of Street Vending Helps Immigrants Stay on Right Side of Law

Street vendors are a part of life in many American cities. Vendors are not always regulated and many are immigrants – as in Los Angeles, where street vending has been illegal. Some vendors there are undocumented immigrants who could face deportation for even minor violations of U.S. law. With hopes of protecting them, the city council recently decriminalized street vending. Goldy Fogel narrates for VOA Spanish Service video journalist Arturo Martinez.
