As his team returned home to celebrate its World Cup win, Argentina star Lionel Messi
scored a record on Instagram as his post became the most-liked in the social network’s history.
Messi’s post features photos of him holding the World Cup trophy along with others showing him and his teammates after their victory over France in Sunday’s final match.
In his caption, Messi wrote, “WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!” along with a note saying he dreamed of this moment many times and wanted it so badly that it still hasn’t sunk in.
The post surpassed the more than 56 million likes on a 2019 photo of an egg by an account called world_record_egg.
