Gunmen killed three people attending a funeral in Mexico's eastern state of Veracruz, in an incident the local prosecutor attributed to drug violence.
Local police said the gunmen fired into the crowd from two pickup trucks. The prosecutor's office confirmed three deaths.
News reports described the victims as low-level drug dealers who were part of the same criminal organization as the man whose funeral they were attending. That man and two others were shot to death by police on Monday, according to the prosecutor's office.
