Pakistan Says Indian Jets Violate Air Space

Pakistan's Air Force say two Indian aircraft briefly violated Pakistan's airspace Tuesday.

The air force says it "initiated prompt tactical actions" and scrambled two fighter jets to "challenge the intruders."

Pakistan said the two Indian aircraft were in Pakistan for about two minutes.

Pakistan and India are nuclear-armed archrivals and such airspace intrusions have happened before.

The two countries have fought three major wars since their partition i 1947, but have taken steps to improve relations in recent years.
