Roadside Bomb Kills 9 in Afghanistan

A roadside bomb in Afghanistan exploded under a bus Monday, killing nine people and wounding at least 22 others.

Local officials reported the blast occurred in Wardak province as the bus traveled from Ghazni province to the capital, Kabul. The officials say they suspect Taliban militants are responsible.

On Sunday, Afghan officials said a coalition air strike killed 11 civilians, including 10 children, in the eastern part of the country during a joint Afghan-NATO operation against the Taliban.
