Somali Lawmakers to Select New President on May 15

Lawmakers in Somalia will choose the country's new president on May 15th in the final step of a tumultuous election process that has been marred by sparring between the current president and prime minister. Former Somalia National Security Advisor Hussein Sheikh-Ali joined Africa 54 host Esther Githui-Ewart via Skype from Mogadishu to discuss the election process and the threats posed by the al-Shabab terrorist group.
