South Africa Mall Collapse Kills One, Injures Dozens

Policemen walk past a three-story building that collapsed in the South African town of Tongaat, about 28 miles north of Durban, Nov. 20, 2013.

Rescue crews have ended their search for survivors in the rubble of a partially-built shopping mall that collapsed Tuesday outside of Durban, South Africa.

Emergency personnel combed the area with sniffer dogs and rescue equipment in the hopes of finding survivors buried under mounds of concrete.

Officials say most of the injured were construction workers pulled from the debris. Medics say most had non-life threatening injuries such as broken bones, but some are in serious condition.

The cause of the building collapse is not yet known.
