Taylor Swift ‘Highest-Paid’ Celebrity

Pop star Taylor Swift is rich, likely beyond her “Wildest Dreams.”

The American singer-songwriter was ranked as the highest-paid celebrity for 2016, according to Forbes’ annual list, with an estimated $170 million. Last year, Swift was ranked eighth.

The top earners last year were boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who were involved in one of boxing’s biggest paydays in 2015.

For 2016, Swift beat out British boy band One Direction by a whopping $60 million, according to the magazine.

Other pop stars included Adele, who was ranked 9th with $80.5 million, Madonna came in at 12th with $76.5 million followed immediately by Rihanna with $75 million. Megastar Katy Perry’s $41 million was only enough for the 63rd place on the list.

Reality television star Kim Kardashian, who is on the cover of the magazine ranked 42nd with $51 million, 40 percent of which came from her mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”

Swift is expected to launch a mobile game next year.
