A total of 216 athletes, 123 men and 93 women, made up the U.S. Olympic team who participated in the Vancouver Winter Games. Eighty-seven were returning Olympians, 31 had previously won medals. Three, luge athlete Mark Grimmette, Nordic combined skier Todd Lodwick and alpine skier Casey Puckett, made their fifth Olympic appearance.
