Abraham Zere

Abraham T. Zere is a journalist with VOA Horn of Africa’s Tigrigna Service. Prior to joining the Tigrigna Service as a team lead editor, he was a contributing writer for various outlets, including Al Jazeera English, The Guardian, The Independent, and Index on Censorship Magazine. 

Abraham has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Asmara, and a master’s degree in international studies from Ohio University, where he also earned his Ph.D. in media arts and studies at the university’s Scripps College of Communication.
