Science in a Minute 120919 Time-Restricted Eating Helps Those at Risk for Heart Disease and Diabetes

California researchers found that a form of sporadic fasting, called ‘time-restricted eating’, helped volunteer participants, with high risk factors for heart disease or diabetes, improve their health. The researchers found that volunteers who limited eating to a 10-hour block each day for, 12 weeks, lost weight, lowered their blood pressure and cholesterol levels and maintain stable blood sugar and insulin levels.
