Obama Releases 46 More Nonviolent Drug Offenders


On Tuesday, 46 nonviolent drug offenders will have President Barack Obama to thank for their freedom. He will commute their sentences - cut them short - as part of his efforts to reform the U.S. criminal justice system. Obama has now commuted more prison sentences than any president since Lyndon Johnson in the 1960s. VOA's Carolyn Presutti introduces us to a woman who knows just how tough the real world is after prison.
