In the global fight against violent extremism, the U.N. Security Council has tried to stem the flow of funds to terrorists, authorized air strikes and other military operations against them, and imposed sanctions. On Wednesday, the council took a new approach, looking at ways to prevent the planet’s young people from being recruited by these dark and dangerous groups. VOA’s Margaret Besheer has the story.
