Robots to Monitor Health of Crops

Despite the drop in the price of petroleum oil and natural gas, the U.S. government keeps funding research in sustainable alternative sources of energy, such as biofuels. Along with breeding biofuel crops to produce larger yields, scientists are developing sophisticated machines that will make the production of these industrial crops economically viable. VOA’s George Putic visited a lab where researchers are designing the robotic farmhands of the future.
