During the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast by day, taking no food or water, sometimes in the middle of a long, hot summer. By night, families gather and eat, starting with breakfast at sundown. But this year, with inflated holiday prices and an ailing economy, many Egyptians are feeling the strain.
