Kobe Bryant Matches Wilt Chamberlain's 1964 NBA Record

Superstar Kobe Bryant has become the first National Basketball Association player to match legend Wilt Chamberlain's 1964 record for scoring at least 45 points in four straight games.

Bryant netted 45 points Monday to lead his Los Angeles Lakers 96-90 over the Indiana Pacers for their third consecutive victory.

Philadelphia's Allen Iverson - who is vying with Bryant for the league's scoring title - netted 41 points as his 76ers beat the visiting Seattle SuperSonics, 107-98. Iverson has scored 40 points or more eight times this season.

The Dallas Mavericks won a 104-102 buzzer beater over the Boston Celtics Monday. Jerry Stackhouse hit the game-winning jump shot with less than one second to go to lift the Mavericks in Boston. The Mavericks have won three games in a row.

In other NBA games, the Utah Jazz defeated the Washington Wizards, 97-89, and the Chicago Bulls knocked off the Toronto Raptors, 113-104.
