With thousands of men killed in combat, the war against the Islamic State terror group has expanded the work done by women. In the more conservative parts of Iraq, women usually do household work while men work outside. Um Inas is an example of how the war has turned this entrenched tradition upside down. VOA’s Kawa Omar reports from the region in this story narrated by Namo Abdulla.
