12 Killed in Indian Train Accident

Officials in eastern India say a train has plowed into group of Hindu pilgrims, killing at least 12 people.

It was not immediately clear why the victims were on the train tracks as the train approached the station.

Authorities say the incident happened Monday in the Saharsa district in the state of
Bihar.

Local officials say angry witnesses set several coaches on fire after the accident.
