Actress Lindsay Lohan Released From Jail

American actress Lindsay Lohan was released from jail Monday after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence.

The 24-year-old went immediately to a rehabilitation clinic, where she is set to undergo three months of treatment.

Her jail sentence was reduced due to good behavior, as well as overcrowding problems that plague prisons in the state of California.

She served her time at a women's jail where she was kept in isolation because of her high-profile status.

Lohan was sentenced to jail after violating the terms of her 2007 probation for drunk driving and drug possession charges.

She rose to fame at age 11 when she starred in a remake of the film The Parent Trap. She is also known for her more recent roles in Freaky Friday and Mean Girls.
