Turkish media reports say an explosion outside the U.S. embassy in Ankara has killed at least two security guards.

Witnesses are quoted as saying the blast was caused by a suicide bomber.

Ambulances and firefighters rushed to the scene.

Several other embassies are located in the same area.

In 2008, three gunmen and three policemen were killed in an attack outside the U.S. consulate in Istanbul.
