A Jerusalem court convicted two Israeli youths Monday for last year's killing of a 16-year-old Palestinian teen who was burned to death in East Jerusalem.

The court postponed its verdict for a third defendant in the case, 31-year-old Yosef Haim Ben David, after his lawyer submitted a last-minute insanity defense.

The two youths are due to be sentenced in January.

Abu Khdeir was abducted and then burned to death in retaliation for the kidnapping and killing of three Israeli teens. His father denounced Monday's verdict.

The killings were part of back-and-forth attacks that led to a 50-day war in the Gaza Strip that killed more than 2,200 people, most of them Palestinian civilians.
