U.S. first lady Michelle Obama meets Nobel Peace Prize laureate Desmond Tutu Thursday as she wraps up her visit to South Africa.
The two are set to meet in Cape Town.
But Obama's planned ferry ride to Robben Island prison, where former South African President Nelson Mandela was jailed for 18 years, was cancelled due to high winds. The first lady met with Mandela at his home in Johannesburg Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Obama delivered an emotional address to a group of young women at Soweto's historic Regina Mundi Church, a center of South Africa's anti-apartheid movement.
The American first lady and her family leaves South Africa Friday for neighboring Botswana, where they will go on safari Saturday.
Obama is on a weeklong visit to South Africa and Botswana to promote youth leadership, education, health and wellness.
Obama is traveling without her husband. She is joined by her daughters, Malia and Sasha, and other relatives.
