Suicide Bomber Attacks Indonesian Police Station

Police in central Indonesia say a suicide bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up at a police station, but failed to inflict any other casualties.

Police Chief Lieutenant Colonel Sienadi said the man tried to force his way into the station Monday morning in the central Sulawesi town of Poso, when his bomb went off, killing him instantly.

Poso has a history of sectarian violence between Muslims and Christians, with the jungles in the area known as a hideout for militants who regularly attack security forces.
