Obama Says Americans Impatient, Frustrated With China's Economic Reforms

U.S. President Barack Obama told Chinese President Hu Jintao Saturday that Americans are becoming increasingly frustrated and impatient at the slow pace of change in Beijing economic policy.

Sitting with the Chinese leader in Honolulu, Hawaii on the eve of an annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, Obama called cooperation with China vital.

Hu also called for more cooperation and cooperation, adding both countries need to respect each other's major concerns and appropriately manage sensitive issues.

During a session with business executives Saturday, Obama listed issues ranging from intellectual property protections to the need for further steps to allow China's currency to appreciate.
