Bosnian Serb authorities for the first time have launched a public campaign calling on citizens to help officials locate fugitive war crimes suspects.
Officials say they will put up billboards throughout the Serb Republic in Bosnia-Herzegovina listing the names of fugitive war crimes suspects and a telephone number to call.
Authorities also plan to show advertisements on Bosnian Serb television portraying suspects Radovan Karadzic, Ratko Mladic and other fugitives with the comment, "either they go to The Hague or we go to hell."
An official handling the campaign, Jovan Spajic, said it is meant to inform the public about the necessity for Bosnian Serbs to fulfill their obligations to the United Nations war crimes tribunal.
The international community has been pressing the Bosnian Serbs to hand over all war crimes suspects if they hope to get any international support.
