The San Antonio Spurs have taken a two-games-to-none lead against the defending champion Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association championship finals.
The Spurs never trailed in a 97-76 rout of the Pistons Sunday in San Antonio. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and four other players scored in double figures for the Spurs. Ginobili, of Argentina, led all scorers with 27 points and seven assists.
The Pistons have never won a playoff series after losing the first two games.
The best-of-seven championship series shifts to Detroit for Game Three on Tuesday.
