Israeli forces are set to evacuate the last settlement in the Gaza Strip Monday and end Israel's 38-year occupation of the territory.
Authorities say soldiers are poised to remove Jewish settlers from Netzarim - the last of Gaza's 21 settlements.
Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers are destroying houses in evacuated Gaza settlements.
Also Sunday, at least one Jewish settler stole a weapons from an Israeli soldier and briefly barricaded himself in a building in the Shirat Hayam settlement. Authorities say he had been given permission to return to pack up his belongings.
And in the West Bank, Israeli security forces clashed with protesters vowing to resist the evacuation of two small settlements. Israeli troops are set to begin removing settlers from them later this week.
