In the National Hockey League (NHL) Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens extended their winning streak to five games as they beat the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in Montreal.
Andrei Markov and Craig Rivet each scored goals in the third period and goalie Jose Theodore stopped 32 shots on goal for Montreal. Tim Taylor and Vinny Prospal accounted for Tampa's two goals. The loss is the Lightning's fourth straight.
